I thought I completed this set a long time ago. Bure appeared two times in the 296 POGS set. But while going through my box, I realized that I missed one. Love the fact that the company guessed right on its prediction of Bure going to the Hall of Fame, which he did in 2012.

Like the Road Trip issue, the Building The Dream is a bit disturbing. All the players wore construction clothes and made the pose for this set. The sponsor for this set is Abalene.

German DEL

1995-96 German DEL #442
During the lockout, Bure played only one game in the German DEL league, scoring three goals for Landshut EV. He also played for the Moscow Spartak for one game, putting two nets. So it's somewhat nice to have one card of him in that Deutsche uniform! But it took me a while to grab one. This copie is only one of the two I saw resurfacing since my comeback into the hobby.

Classic Image doesn't have an NHL license, so the set is, in my opinion, pretty lame. Bure is in two of the base set, which has a gold variation. The production was 1995 cases of 12 boxes. The Platinum players insert is numbered to 1995 and was at a rate of one per 36 packs. However, the Clear Excitement was another story. Only found in Hot boxes, where each pack has 3 of the five insert sets, the chance of finding one was in 1152 pack! They are numbered to 350 sets.

Pinnacle was the brand in charge of the McDonald's set that year, after a couple of years with Upper Deck. The 3-D cards were LIT at that time. I was flabbergasted to see that design at that time!

Playoff One on One Challenge seems like a cool game to play. Unfortunately, I bought only 5-6 booster packs when I was a kid, so I didn't have enough cards to test it. Bure was in three of the four levels of the game: common, uncommon, and ultra-rare.
